Beyond my advocacy work, I embrace the role of a single mom, nurturing her energetic 3-year-old while inspiring them with a dedication to making the world a better place. My love for connecting with people is evident in my warm interactions, where I find joy in building bridges and fostering meaningful relationships.
I absolutely love to spend time outside, especially to swim and paddle board. My partner and I can be found regularly camped out in some hideout at all times of year with a cold drink, appreciating nature. I love creatures (especially creepy crawlies and plants), making all kinds of art, volunteering locally, challenging myself with learning something new, and reading. I cannot stop listening to music and I find it to be one of my favorite ways to connect with people.

Omar Santana-Gomez, (He/him/el) is the Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs with the Office of Equity. Omar has been in State service for almost 4 years. In each role, he has worked to better the State’s interface with the people they are meant to serve. With roots in community through previous work as an advocate for Survivors of domestic violence Omar is committed to eliminating barriers community at large has to resources and services.

Hello, my name is Kalimah Ujaama, my pronouns are she/her, and I am an author, retired spoken word performer, and advocate of racial justice and gender-based violence outside of work. Right now, I am researching racism, discrimination, and gender-based violence in Muslim communities and writing novels. You can find me traveling everywhere, being super aunty to thirteen nieces and nephews, and hiking Washington whenever I get a chance.
