We’re excited to bring you another issue of ENN, kicking off the summer right! The Office of Equity has been hard at work onboarding new staff, launching event series, working on creating internal and external processes, having team retreats and bonding activities, attending events all over Washington state… and so much more! Read on to get a snapshot of what we’ve been up to.
This spring we want to take some time to get you up to speed on some of the work we’ve been up to as an office. As we have been growing our teams, we continue to work towards building our office culture and finding ways to connect through the growth. We are excited to provide options throughout the enterprise to connect, uplift great work, and convene with community.
Building strong, meaningful connections with the community starts with clear policies, open communication, and a commitment to equity. A key part of this is recognizing that community members are experts in their own experiences and should have a central role in shaping engagement efforts.
Individuals who serve on Class One Workgroups and are eligible to receive compensation will be referred to as “eligible members.” When referring to all individuals serving on a workgroup or distinguishing between those who may receive compensation and those who may not, the phrase “workgroup members” will be used in contrast to the phrase “eligible members.”
