He/Him/His

What do you love to do outside of the Office of Equity?

"Outside of my work, I enjoy playing video games (specifically Zelda games, Smash Brothers, and Mario Kart). I enjoy going to the gym and staying active, listening to audiobooks. Binge-watching TV shows, anime, Korean dramas, and movies with my wife and cuddling/spoiling our fur baby."

"Currently listening to Star Maker, Hail Mary, and The Martian. I'm taking care of myself by prioritizing my time in the gym, and taking breaks when I am beginning to work out. I appreciate so much that this office supports their employees and encourages them to take time to care for ourselves and our loved ones."

What do you contribute to the Office of Equity?

"My superpower is my ability to listen and make people feel comfortable and heard. I'm naturally an introvert and prefer to take notes during meetings, and this helps me stay organized and ensure that everyone in a meeting's main asks and points are recorded for future planning. I bring a lived experience as someone with invisible disabilities and grew up in a rural working-class background. It's important to acknowledge that I am also bringing many inherent privileges that I want to dedicate towards using to uplift and amplify the voices of folks who are historically overlooked. Before I came to the Office of Equity, I worked at the City of Seattle in multiple roles such as my work supporting the first-ever Seattle Redistricting Commission at the Department of Neighborhoods, and most recently at the City Clerk's Office managing their Boards and Commissions Program."
