2024 PEAR STAR Awards

The Washington State Office of Equity is excited to announce that the PEAR (Pro-Equity Anti-Racism) STAR (Show, Transform, Act, Reflect) Award nominations are open! We want to know how nominees are exemplifying PEAR attributes as they Show, Transform, Act, and Reflect PEAR values. Each nomination will be categorized through our 15 determinants of equity. We look forward to receiving nominations for Washington state agencies and community organizations.

The pillars of the 15 determinants of equity are: 

• Community Support
• Family Support
• Community Infrastructure
• Government Systems

You can submit one nomination per agency/organization in one determinant of equity area. Our nominations committee will be selecting one winner from a state agency and one from a community organization for each of the 15 determinants of equity.

The winners should be prepared to attend our annual We the People Convening awards ceremony in October. Winners will be notified well in advance to plan for their attendance.
