Anna Gill
Community Reinvestment Program Manager
Hi! My name is Anna, and I'm excited to be joining the Office of Equity as the Community Reinvestment Program Manager. I come to this role with more than 18 year of experience serving the people of Washington across several agencies, including the Department of Revenue, State Parks and the Utilities and Transportation Commission, where I spent about 12 years working on complex regulatory and multi-agency partnerships focused on consumer protection.
My time at the UTC changed me both professionally and personally. Working on utility regulation forced me to confront who our systems were built for and who they were leaving behind. It also began a deeper personal anti-racism journey for me. As a white woman, I started examining more honestly how my race shapes the way I move through the world - the doors that open for me, the assumptions people make, the harm I can cause even with good intentions. That work continues, and it has fundamentally changed how I show up.
Building systems that serve our most vulnerable neighbors and correct historic inequities rather than reinforce them is not just work I believe in. It's work that feeds my soul.
I am honored to be here and to work alongside Megan and all of you. I don't arrive with all the answers - I arrive ready to listen, learn and contribute.
Outside work I live with my husband Matt and our two teenagers, Jack and Olivia. They remind me every day why this work matters.
