My name is Alaura Miller. My pronouns are she/her they/them. I am a full-time psychology student and senior at Eastern Washington University. I currently am a part time volunteer as a sexual assault advocate. I graduated valedictorian from high school while earning my associates degree from my local community college, achieved the Girl Scouts Gold Award for LGBTQIA+ advocacy, earned my black belt in Tang Soo Do, and I was a finalist in the 2023 Obama Voyager Scholarship. I was given the opportunity to apply to the Board by a professor at my college who encouraged me due to the dedication I have to my communities. I'm extremely passionate about creating equity for all individuals who have not been given the same opportunities I have. I know I'm lucky in all that I have accomplished and I believe everyone deserves the same opportunities without fear of discrimination because of who they are, what they believe, and where they are headed in life.
