B Hill

Organization Strategy & Performance Manager

Hey hey, my name is B Hill and my pronouns are they/them. I consider myself a Southerner in the PNW and outside of work I'm also a professional DJ and classic car enthusiast.

The work of antiracism and pro-equity is personal to me as a person living at the intersection of race, non-binary gender, and identity. I have experienced and continue to experience acts of oppression and injustice that are rooted in taking away my liberation, peace, and joy. I see myself in this work and through my professional and lived experience I am purposed to be a leader and visionary that drives organizational and cultural change and serve in positions for building antiracism, pro-equity, and inclusion initiatives.

I am currently the Pro-Equity Consultant Manager. I lead and collaborate with fellow pro-equity consultants to provide thought partnership, thought leadership, and technical assistance that is rooted in the Pro-Equity and Anti-Racism Plan and Playbook. My superpowers are rooted in lived and professional experience that provide me with a broad and unique skillset. I am a bridge builder through providing consultative services while recognizing the importance of speaking truth to power.

In this role, I am committed to being a trusted and credible team member that provides consultative services to state agencies that is rooted in justice and anti-oppression. The success and accountability in this role will manifest from consultative services that center and uplift those who have been purposely left out, silenced, and underrepresented. My commitment also stems from seeing myself in this work and being purposed and assigned to do my part in developing systems and culture that manifest and sustains anti-racism, equity, belonging, and justice.

My vision for a just and equitable future embodies dismantling systems of oppression that provide the foundation for acts of oppression to perpetuate. We must be transformational in the work of anti-racism and pro-equity which calls for liberation of all people. Noone should be experiencing injustice because of their differences and the non existence of institutional oppression is imperative. Liberation is the freedom to experience peace, joy and to thrive!
