State agencies cannot unlawfully discriminate in their employment, programs, activities and services on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, disability, sex, or any other basis protected by law. They cannot retaliate against a person who files a discrimination complaint, assists or participates in a discrimination investigation or proceeding, or otherwise opposes an unlawful practice. Discrimination complaints must be resolved promptly, effectively, and equitably. Office of Equity Consultants can provide consultation in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
